Bio 

Laura Rocchegiani (1983) is a saxophone player, improviser, teacher, arranger, composer and performer.

She currently lives in Copenhagen where he attends the Masters in Music Education at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory.

In the field of education, her research is directed towards more inclusive and creative pedagogical approaches. With the projects Col.Mu.Ma. and Col.Mu.Show, she brings his workshops in several European countries, including Denmark, Germany and Italy.

She's currently working with guitarist Francesco Colocci on a project called STRATCHES, exploring free improvisation and instant composition. She has had performances in some of the most famous clubs in the cities of Copenhagen and Berlin.

Since 2008 she has been a member of the Gershwin Quintet together with the saxophonists Isabella Fabbri, Letizia Ragazzini and Mariella Donnaloia and the pianist Maria Giulia Cester. With them she has performed in numerous concert festivals (Rassegna Musicale a Palazzo Venezia, Festival delle Nazioni di Città di Castello, Concerti d'estate a Villa Guariglia di Vietri sul mare, XVI International Saxophone Stage in Fermo, Lucca Jazz Donna, Sunday Concerts at Casa Verdi in Milan) and historic Italian theatres (Teatro Bellini in Catania, Teatro Nuovo in Ferrara, Teatro Rossini in Pesaro, Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna) and has recorded the albums "Oh, ladies be good" and "A Stairway to Paradise" produced by Digressione Music.

From 2003 to 2016 she was a member of the "ITALIAN SAXOPHONE ORCHESTRA" conducted by M° Federico Mondelci. With this ensemble she performed in Italy and abroad.

He has worked with the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto and the YASO Orchestra of La Spezia, with whom he recorded and performed L.E. Bacalov's Concerti Grossi nos. 1 and 2, together with the New Trolls.

Her activity as a solo and orchestral saxophonist in jazz, rock, pop is significant. From 2012 to 2015 she was a member of the band Le Rimmel.

She was born in Camerino (Macerata, Italy) and graduated in classical saxophone from the Conservatory "G. Rossini" in Pesaro. She continued her studies with F. Mondelci, J.M. Londeix, A. Domizi, M. Gerboni, S. Mauk, L. Fontana, L. Derosier.

He went on to study Jazz arranging and composing, graduating with first class honours from the "G. Rossini" Conservatory in Pesaro with M° Bruno Tommaso.

He has collaborated with many artists from different backgrounds (Battista Lena, Fabrizio Bosso, Federico Mondelci, Robert Posner, Mike Shepstone, Franz Campi, Clio Gaudenzi).

He has been a teacher of saxophone and ensemble music at the G. Marconi High School of Music in Pesaro since 2014.
